Addressing the pressers on Monday, Salehi said that Prof. Ahmed E. Hassan, born in 1976, Egypt from Queen's University with his work ‘Mining Software Repositories (MSR)’ in Information and Communication Science and Technology and Iranian-born Prof. Omid C. Farokhzad with his work ‘Design, Development, and Clinical Translation of Novel Polymeric Nanomedicines’ in Life and Medical Science and Technology are two laureates of the 5th Mustafa (pbuh) Prize.
He added that in the category of laureates from the Islamic countries, the award will be jointly granted to Prof. Samia J. Khoury, Prof. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail, and Prof. Murat Uysal.
The 5th Mustafa Prize award ceremony will be held on October 2 at the Chehel Sotoun Palace with the presence of 1,000 prominent scientific figures from Iran and various countries.
Mustafa (pbuh) Prize as a biennial award to praise Muslim scholars had earlier been held in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021.
